Dark Alleys von _JiJi_ ================================================================================ Kapitel 1: Chapter 1 -------------------- Hyukjae stumbled across the dark streets, the street lamps too dark or damaged. But that's nothing the blonde couldn't handle, he knows the streets well enough, to not break out in panic. The dark allies however were an other story. "I'm pathetic!" The used to be cop hated the darkness. It was one of the reasons why he had quitted his job, the other reason was that he was shot in a dark ally and could not get over it. He had appointments with various psychiatrists, but nothing helped, he never got over his fear of the darkness or the dark allies. When it was dark he would get paranoid and feared to get shot again. Eunhyuk would even sleep with a dim night light on. About four years he was alone, out of the fear his partner would laugh at him for being such a loser to get frightened when it was dark, like his parents did. He sighed deeply when he reached his apartment and opened the door with trembling hands. As soon as he was inside a little furry ball greeted him and with shaking hands he switched on his lights. "Hi Choco." Eunhyuk bent down to pick Choco up and then put his shoes aside. He was glad that he had decided to adopt Choco, she was his little light, especially on lonely days. "Okay Cutie, should we eat now?" And with that he gave Choco her fodder before he cooked himself some easy meal which he ate on his couch, the TV switched on. *-*-* Not far away from Eunhyuks apartment, a young man in his twenties, crouched down in one of those dark allies in hope to find some place to hide and sleep. Normally he would try his luck and search for someone nice who would let him sleep in their house. He doesn’t look like a homeless guy. He's always bathed and shaved. He had normal and clean clothes. But he doesn’t have a home. Two years ago his parents decided to kick him out and that was the beginning of all the misery he went through. His name was Lee Donghae. When he was little he hated these dark, stinky allies, but now he was forced to live most of the time in those uncomfortable side streets. Donghae sighed deeply as he sat down in a corner and pulled his jacket closer around his thin body. But then he saw a lanky blonde man who rushed down the street. The brunette decided to follow this man and try his luck on him, when he's lucky he could have a place to sleep. A little reluctant Donghae approached the door. He had seen that the other trembled, but he doesn’t mind what or who the other was, as long as he got a place to sleep. Donghae reached for the doorbell and heard a clear ringing before some racked came through the door. And then, there he was, the man who let Donghaes heart skip a beat. He wasn't able to utter just a single word. The brunette could only stare. "What is it?!" Hyukjaes voice was a little irritated because the stranger just stared at him and it was already late. He doesn't really know what to do. But then his opposite actually opened his mouth. "Uh, I wanted to ask whether you have or have not a place to sleep for me?" Donghaes voice sounded kind and a little helpless. Hyukjae lifted an eyebrow and bend his head to the right side. "And why should I have a place to sleep for you? You're a complete stranger! So... Bye!" Hyukjae was about to close the door, but a feet placed between his door and it's frame, does not let him. Annoyed he opened the door again. "What?! I said leave!" Normally Donghae would leave after that, but somehow he wanted to stay with this grumpy blonde. "Please... please let me stay. I need a place to sleep. I won't do anything, I'm not noisy or something like this! I know it's hard to believe some stranger... But please! I beg you! Let me stay!" "No! I don't know you! And I don't have a place for someone to sleep." Eunhyuk stated with a stern voice. "Okay... Uhm... My name is Lee Donghae. I'm 21 years. I've ended school with straight A's. My parents don't love me so they kicked me out. I would love to go to a University but don't have the money for that. I really love animals, especially fish... What else? Ah right... You're my last hope for tonight. I think it might rain later and it's extreme uncomfortable out there when you're drenched." Donghaes voice got a little desperate. Eunhyuk gaped at Donghae in disbelieve. He doesn't know what to think about this strange guy in front of him. And he doesn't know what he was doing when he opened the door a little wider and let Donghae in. The eyes from the brunette begin to sparkle and a wide grin took it's place on his face. He bowed and thanked Hyukjae over and over again. The blonde eyed Donghae with close attention. »What are you thinking, Hyukjae?! That's not right! He's a stranger!« When this Donghae guy put his shoes aside Eunhyuk tilted his head to one side. »But he's alone, too... His parents kicked him out... He looks a little like a lost puppy... And he's way to thin...« Hyukjae sighed deeply before he spoke: "I'm Lee Hyukjae, but you can call me Eunhyuk." And this was the beginning of a story full of hate and love, sadness and happiness, bad luck and good luck and so much more... When Hyukjae had known in what a story he had stumbled, he would have never let Donghae enter his apartment or life... Kapitel 2: Chapter 2 -------------------- "You will sleep on the couch." Eunhyuk pointed at his black sofa where Choco was sitting, she observed the newcomer. "Awwww, what a cutie!" Donghaes eyes lid up at the sight of Choco. "And I don't mind where you let me sleep. I'm just happy that I can stay." The younger said in a serious tone and looked Hyukjae in the eyes. "Can I touch her... or him?" Donghae pointed excited to where Choco was sitting. Eunhyuk let his eyes wander to Choco. "You can try, she's normally friendly." Hyukjae was a bit confused with this strange boy. On a normal day he hadn't even bothered to open the door. And now... yeah, what now? "Do you want something to eat? There are leftovers." »Yeah, great Hyukjae...« Donghae who was sitting with Choco looked up and smiled such a friendly smile that Hyukjae thought his breath stopped for a second. "Thanks, but you don't need to share your food, too. I will go and search for food tomorrow." “Uh, where do you want to search for food?” Hyukjae raised one eyebrow and looked questioned at Donghae. “Don't know, I had always luck to find something in the alleys behind some restaurants or such.” The brunette smiled and shrugged his shoulders, while playing with Choco. Eunhyuk could see that she loved the other man, with that he let out a deep sigh and shuffled into his kitchen. When he came back Donghae was lying on his carpet with Choco on his chest. “Here...” The Blonde placed a plate on the coffee table in front of Donghae. He doesn't really know what he was doing, but he can't let the other suffer because of hunger, when he had more than enough. Donghae looked up surprised, but then smiled his sunny smile and Hyukjae knows now that this smile is causing his heart to skip a beat. “Thank you!” The brunette exclaimed happily. “Uhm, it's nothing. I always cook to much for just one person, so... when you would like you can come over and eat dinner with me...” Eunhyuks voice trailed of and he looked hesitantly at his opposite. »Why did you do this?! He's a stranger! He told you a bit but that doesn't mean you knows him!« Hyukjae ignored his inner voice and sat down on his couch near where Donghae was sitting on the ground and happily eating his leftovers. “Really?!” With big eyes Donghae looked up at Eunhyuk. He couldn't believe his luck, especially after the other refused to led him in at first. “When it's really okay...” “Don't start with something like this! I wouldn't have made you the offer if I didn't meant it!” Somehow the other woke up a motherly instinct which Hyukjae didn't know he had. Strangely he didn't felt uncomfortable by the others presence. The blonde frowned a little and then piked Choco up, who tried to steal some of the food. “Okay, than: thank you so much, Eunhyuk-sshi!” Donghae was seated on the floor but nonetheless bowed to his opposite. “Uh... and drop the formalities! There isn't such a great gap between us.” “How old are you, Eunhyuk?” Donghae looked curious at the blonde. Hyukjae tilted his head a little before he answered: “I'm 26...” “Oh, I thought you were elder!” The brunette chuckled. Eunhyuks mouth opened but then closed again without uttering a word. »Do I look that old?!« The laughter of the other brought him back to his senses. Hyukjae looked a little confused at Donghae. “Your expression was priceless! No, you don't look old or something like that! Actually I thought that we're the same age.” The brunette said with a gentle voice and put his plates together. “Where should I put these?” Eunhyuk raised his eyebrows but said nothing. He wasn't used to teasing anymore and didn't know what to do. “Come, I will show you.! The blonde said slowly and stood up to shuffle into his kitchen, followed by Donghae. The latter observed his host, he tilted his head in thoughts. Eunhyuks voice brought him back to reality. “Have you heard what I've said?” “No, sorry...” “What's with you?” But Eunhyuk didn't expected an answer. “You can put your plates here in the sink and I will do the dishes tomorrow after breakfast.” Donghae shook his head lightly, he didn't answer Hyuks question, he only wanted to clear his mind. “When that's okay...” He put his plates down in the sink. “Don't question all the things I say. I don't say nothing I don't mean, okay?” Donghaes eyes widened a bit but he nodded anyway. He wasn't used to someone who would offer him things without wanting something in return. “I can go on a walk with her...?” The brunette pointed at Choco. “Her name's Choco and she don't need to go on a walk anymore, not until tomorrow morning.” Eunhyuk said and cuddled Choco nearer to his chest. “Choco, that's cute!” Donghae beamed at Eunhyuk and reached out to pet the dogs head lightly. “Can I go with you when you go walkie with her tomorrow?” The brown eyes from the younger looked hopefully at Eunhyuk. “Uhm, when you would like...” Hyukjaes voice trailed off a little. He didn't know why he can't say no to Donghae. Something about the other didn't let him. “We should go to sleep, I have work tomorrow.” As in slow motion Hyuk set Choco back to the floor. “I will give you some blankets.” With that Eunhyuk made it's way into his bedroom to collect an old blanket a pillow for Donghae. When he came back Hae was placed on his couch, again with Choco by his side. Eunhyuk dropped the blanket and pillow next to the brunette and pointed at Choco. “Dog basket...” She complied immediately and went to her place to lie down. “You trained her well.” Donghae said in amazement as he looked at Choco, but then back at his host. “It's necessary that a dog is trained well.” Eunhyuk stated. “The bathroom is over there and when you need something knock in my door.” The blonde pointed at the doors. “I will get up at 6 o'clock and at 7 I will go to work. You need to be ready at that time, because you will leave with me.” Donghae nodded at Hyukjaes words. “That's alright, I will be ready by then.” “Good, then goodnight.” Eunhyuk went straight to his room and closed the door behind him. He leaned against the door and slit down until he sat on the floor. With his hands on his face he closed his eyes and remained motionless. »What's with me? I have a stranger in my house!« Hyuk straightened his posture and looked ahead, out of his window. »But he, somehow, remind me of myself...« He let out a deep sigh as he stood up again and went to bed. Eunhyuk got comfortable under his covers. »...and it's only for one night...« At that time Donghae got ready for bed and when he lied down he stared up at the ceiling. »I'm really lucky today... Eunhyuk is really nice and Choco is so cute...« He glanced over at the little sleeping dog. »I wish I could stay here more often... ...« Hosted by Animexx e.V. (http://www.animexx.de)
